Katoomba North PS enjoyed a Pirate Treasure Hunt raising funds for our Community/School Garden.
We are also running a Kindergarten Transition Program, giving children who intend to start school in Kindergarten in 2010 the opportunity to join in on school activities and familiarise themselves with the school surroundings prior to starting school.
The Community Room is also running some wonderful programs. Preschoolers may like to join us on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday mornings for a play and chat session. gardeners can join the free TAFE gardening course on a Tuesday, craft classes are run on Wednesday and Fridays. Food share is also available through the Community Room. Meat and vegetable packages are available for just $20: contact Leah Nott every day from 9-10 a.m.
The school now has an up to date website that includes weekly newsletters, information, updated calendar of events and a vast gallery of photographs.
